In honor of the recent 4th of July celebration we have Sam.

Sam has a stars and stripes stove pipe hat. The background is an abstract pour with interference spirals and dots to represents fireworks.

This is an acrylic painting done during college, fall of 2001, and was a birthday gift to a friend. The sand in the foreground and background is from a sketch of mine of Kitty Hawk North Carolina.

By the way, the ugly lines that are separating the drawing into 4 squares are just the lines of the papers (I taped 4 pieces of paper together because I don't have any large paper)

Anyone know of any songs that remind you of someone you used to really like and they didn't feel the same as you but then over the course of time just became good friends with them and now they like you and you don't feel the same as them now? Much appreciated.

hiii... i was here a couple weeks back with an epically long post about my broken heart. well, all is semi-well now. i still haven't heard from her and don't know wtf is going on, but i definitely feel better. i do want to thank you guys, because you really honestly restored my faith in people helping people-- and at a time where i easily could have become very pessimistic. you have my gratitude, sincerely.

but anyway, i just thought i would share with you this mix i just made. it's kinda based on my situation and there is some mainstream-ish stuff in there so if your ears are easily offended by mainstream, there's your forewarning. haha. it's all songs that i relate to a lot right now.

As you all already know it's TG's birthday today! So i bring you a couple of pics. They're old Dharma & Greg promos, but you don't see Thomas smiling like that in Criminal Minds.

Well now, I don't usually show people stuff till I've had a chance to live with it a couple of weeks, But, I'm feeling pretty good about this direction. Anyway, this was the intent of the week. I wanted to take the polymer clay a little further (for me, anyway) . I incorporated lots of gears (hard to see)  and went for depth of color.

I think she's going to be called something like "The inquisitor of time and communication"  Maybe it will go in the dust bin next week. Important thing is, I'm off and running again. I'm working on a new face this evening. Want to take the idea a little way down the road.

Michael is putting together a new assemblage. Steampunk. Has anyone checked out what the steampunk "gods" are doing with laptops? I am impressed. I want to build a solar oven out of an old "victorian" side table that's under the barn. Punk it up, too. 

Looking for a good art book read, too. Open to suggestions.
